| Description | In 1912, with the amalgamation of the Aston, King's Norton and Birmingham unions, a combined House committee was instituted. Having much the same responsibilities as the earlier House committee (see GP B/2/3/1 above), it is referred to in the Board of Guardians minutes as having 22 members (see GP B/2/1/81). The committee had responsibility for three separate sub-committees relating to the Western Road, Erdington and Selly Oak workhouses (see GP B/2/3/15, GP B/2/3/17 and GP B/2/3/19), and regularly received reports from each of them. Unless otherwise stated the volumes are not indexed. |
