| Description | The Convalescent Home committee was formed in 1917 to administer the Union's home in Wassell Grove. Prior to 1917, the home was run by the Infirmaries committee, (see GP B/2/4/8/1-2, above) but as its use increased, a separate committee was set up. Consisting of 10 Guardians, the committee continued to be responsible for all aspects of the home, including the appointment of staff, the provision of supplies, the maintenance of the building itself and the care of inmates. The committee continued to operate up until the dissolution of the Poor Law Union in 1930. The volumes are indexed. |
