| Description | Following the building work carried out on Summer Hill Terrace in 1907, a sub-committee was appointed - under the authority of the Workhouse Management committee - to administer the premises. Consisting of six Guardians, the sub-committee was responsible for all aspects of the receiving home, including the maintenance of the building itself, the movement of children into and out of the home, and the appointment of staff.
