| Description | These casebooks contain records of patients admitted 1845 - 1913. Cases are listed chronologically and the volumes contain an index at the front. The format of the volumes varies and the amount of detail on each case differs. Some of the case histories are cross-referenced with the post mortem records. The reference in the post mortem books is to an old index. The old volume number is given is square brackets.
Casebooks volumes 12/3 to 12/40 contain entries for male patients only. All case histories are given in some detail and updated frequently. Some case histories continue into succeeding volumes.
Casebooks 12/41 to 12/75 all contain entries for female patients only. All case histories are given in some detail and updated regularly to the point of discharge, transfer or death. Some cases continue into succeeding volumes. |
