| Description | The After Care Sub-Committee grew out of the Ladies' Committee, which, since its establishment in 1862, had provided a service of advice and guidance to parents on the discharge of their children. Both Committees also contributed to the provisions for patient convalescence. Convalescent beds were at first provided at "Miss Martineau's" Homes at Solihull, afterwards at Cooper's Hill and Arrowfield, Alvechurch, and at Moseley Hall from 1890. |
