| Description | This volume is a notebook of meetings taking place, rather than a minute book. It records meetings of the Convalescent Home Building Sub-Committee and possibly General Committee; the volume has no useful minute numbers and no index. At this time the meetings were being held at the Crippled Union.
At the beginning of the volume the Committee is concerned with the need to improve accommodation and is still looking to develop the Convalescent Home [Woodlands] at Chadwick End; this is then abandoned and the decision is made to sell the site, before the offer of Woodlands Estate in Kings Norton is made and developed. Members of the Cadbury family and friends start to sit on the building Sub-Committee from 1908 onwards. The volume then records committees for developing the new hospital's Selection, Training and Treatment Sub-Committees. The volume encloses copy letters of the advisory committee.
At the rear of the volume is a suggested scheme for the amalgamation of The Crippled Children's Union and The Adult Cripples Guild, 1909. |
