The main aim of the FPA is to promote sexual health and family planning by means of information, education and training, publication and publicity. The Family Planning Association in Northern Ireland (FPANI) was established in 1965 and has centres in Belfast and Londonderry. The main work of FPANI is education and training for professionals working in the area of sexuality and sex education work with youth and parent groups.
