ZCTC adopts a three pronged approach to combating violence, 1) active prevention of crimes of violence against women and children, 2) adequate provision of support services for women and children who experience violence, and 3) appropriate legal protection for women and children who experience violence. ZCTC is based in Edinburgh and is a registered charity launched in 1992. Nature of support: In 1996 on the recommendation of Gender Programme Relevant Trustees the Trust offered the ZCTC two annual grants of £26,000 towards the salary of a policy promotions post.
