Funding source(s): Barrow Cadbury Trust, Gender Programme. The DWDF was established to distribute grants to be used to develop community ideas and empower women to put these ideas into practice. The DWDF was established in 1994/1995 and began making grants in 1996. The DWDF later became Catalyst Community Service Agency, part of the company structure of the Black Country Housing and Community Services Group. Nature of support: In 1997 the Trust agreed to allocate £25,000 to local development funds for women's groups in the West Midlands. Catalyst received one fifth of this total.
