TitleHouse Committee Blue Coat School
LevelItem
Date18 March 1835 - 16 December 1840
DescriptionThe function of the House Committee appears to be dealing with the running of the school in a household function, i.e. issues to do with cooking and cleaning staff and any issues relating to the building itself, for example, building work.

The House Committee meetings usually begin with 'examining the house' which appears to involve the members of the committee literally walking around the school and examining the building. A number of the minutes make mention of broken glass panes that need repairing and other repairs/alterations, such as painting doors and fixing 'stopped-up' pipes. The house committee at this stage also deals with issues such as wages for the cook, repair work and building work at the school, etc. This volume is unindexed and does not contain any minute numbers.
