| Description | This volume is a stock book, which essentially records what provisions the school has used on a week-by-week basis. Unlike the previous stock books, this volume deals with stock of non-consumable goods, like clothes. Each page contains a list of various non-food items (e.g. clothes, brooms, brushes, combs, laces, matches, etc.) with columns for 'brought forward', 'new stock', 'total stock', 'stock given cut [sic]' and 'remaining in stock', with quantities entered for the food items in respective columns. Later pages have not been completed fully. Encloses some loose sheets of stock totals which are identical to entries in the volume, suggesting that the sheets are the rough calculations before entries were made in the volume itself. |
