| Description | This is essentially a run of expired and surrendered leases which were weeded out of what is now MS 2126/3/5d/2/A as 'war salvage'. Rescued by the Birmingham Public Libraries in 1940 it was then rearranged geographically. It also includes surrenders, assignments, mortgages and other related papers.
Due to issues of ownership of these items and difficulties in identification of properties referred to recombination with MS 2126/3/5d/2/A has not been attempted. 76 bundles for locations other than Edgbaston appear in appropriate sections of this list. They may be selected in the CALM (electronic) version of the catalogue by limiting the search to accession number 1940/56.
