| Description | There are two main series of leases in Calthorpe collection:
1. MS 2126/3/5d/2/A is the primary series which was part of the accession of 1997 and relates to specific properties, mainly in Edgbaston. It is arranged chronologically.
2. A secondary series of items weeded from the primary series was actually deposited in 1940. At this point it was reorganised geographically. Due to issues of ownership and difficulties in identification recombine of these two series has not been possible. Catalogue entries for this secondary series mainly appear at MS 2126/3/5d/2/B although those which are for locations other than Edgbaston appear in the appropriate sections of the list. They may be selected in the CALM (electronic) version of the catalogue by limiting the search to accession number 1940/56.
