| Description | Letters from John Rennie from 1812 and 1813. John Rennie worked as a millwright and engineer in London, and he acted as a London agent for Boulton Watt & Co. Rennie frequently wrote while travelling round the country – this bundle contains letters from Lincoln, Cheltenham (where he went on account of his poor health), Newcastle upon Tyne, Collompton and Milford. The bundle also contains letters from Rennie’s foreman John Walker, his clerk Thomas M. Cunningham and his son John Rennie Jr.
The letters are addressed Boulton Watt & Co. and James Watt Jr. One of John Walker’s letters is addressed to John Southern.
