| Description | Letters from George and John Rennie from 1838 to 1843. George and John Rennie carried on their father John’s business after his death in 1821. The bundle also contains letters by their assistants Gideon Scott and George Lewin.
The letters are addressed Boulton Watt & Co. There are also letters addressed to James Brown of Boulton Watt & Co.’s London office. Brown forwarded these letters to Soho. One letter is also addressed to Gilbert Hamilton, head of the Drawing Office. These letters were removed at some stage from the general series of Drawing Office correspondence.
