DescriptionJohn Duncust owns a public house, and has a share in a colliery, but it does little business. Plans to mine coal on his neighbour’s estate, which is why he is interested in an engine. However they know nothing about engines. Mr. Orrel of Black Brook may enquire about an engine – he is dependable. Crouchley’s own engine answers well. Boulton & Watt’s premium system is not suitable for the Leigh area.
