| Description | Miscellaenous letters about steam boats, from 1810 to 1827. These letters were probably removed from the various series of general incoming correspondence, and the majority are docketed either by James Watt Jr. or by William Creighton. Most were found in Box 8, the “Steamboat Box”, but others were found scattered through the collection. The letters include the first correspondence from James Brown, who went on to become Boulton Watt & Co.’s London agent and who in 1842 became a partner when M. R. Boulton left the firm. |
