Docketed “Proposals of a steam communication with England, by Mr. Taylor. Voyage made by the Hugh Lindsay steamer to Suez and breakages. His report upon the fitting up and erection of Maudslay’s engines in the Hugh Lindsay. Would like to have the erection of two of our engines of 60 horse power in a vessel of 450 tons. Major Hawkins died at sea, 19 Feb. 1831. See Mrs. Hawkins’ letter of 1 Jul. and Mr. Mosley’s of 8 Jul. 1831.” |
