| Description | Letters from James Watt Jr. to William Creighton, head of the Drawing Office, from 1828 and 1829. The letters are generally simply addressed to “Boulton Watt & Co.” but they were received and docketed by Creighton in the Drawing Office. The bundle also includes a letter dated 25 November 1828 addressed to William Bennett, an engine erector who worked in the Drawing Office when back at Soho.
This bundle was examined by Henry Hazleton in the 1890s, as it has a card cover in the same style as the previous large bundles.
The letters are dated as follows:
Nos. 2-30. 1828 Nos. 31-50. 1829 |
