For Mr. Swabey, and for William Leaf Crofts & Co., ordered by Richard Moreland & Co. The drawings for Swabey were made in Aug. 1839, but his engine was then countermanded. The drawings were re-used for Moreland in Sep. 1839. Henry Hazleton allocated separate portfolio numbers to the engines despite the fact that they did not have separate drawings; Swabey's was Portfolio 1010 and Moreland's was Portfolio 1011. Swabey is listed among the British Independent engines, while Moreland's is among the Sugar Plantation Engines.
