Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 825.

For John & Charles Farnell, brewery, Isleworth, Middlesex (engine GI) and for W. Dunn Gardner, Fordham (engine IT). Engine GI was made in 1820, but not appropriated to the Farnells until 1825. John & Charles Farnell later became Farnell & Watson, and had the power of the engine increased to 8 horses by the addition of an 18½ inch cylinder in 1863. The cylinder was later re-bored, increasing the power to 10 horses. The drawings made in 1825 were re-used in 1845 for Gardner's engine. These engines were omitted from the Catalogue of Old Engines.
