6 horse power independent crank engine, with 16 inch cylinder, 2 foot stroke, parallel motion, cast iron beam, cast iron connecting rod.

Textile mill, Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire. The firm had earlier bought a 14 horse crank engine [see Portfolio 5/454], and 14 and 10 horse independent engines [see Portfolios 5/975, 5/987]. This engine was omitted from the Catalogue of Old Engines.
