Description32 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 29 inch cylinder, 6 foot stroke, parallel motion. Iron beam and 30¾ inch cylinder added 1807.

Reverse general view of the engine, reverse plans and sections of the engine and boilers (the ground plan has a sketch of a house on the back); reverse plan of the engine and boiler houses with cistern drawings on the same sheet, reverse sections of the engine and boiler houses and framing; reverse section of the chimney. All the drawings bear letter codes.

For Joseph Walker of Eastwood, near Rothwell, Richard Thompson of Burton-upon-Trent, cotton spinner and Archer Ward of Derby, white lead manufacturer. Cotton mill, Newcastle-under-Lyme. The firm later became R. Thompson & Sons.
