Description8 horse power double-acting sun & planet engine, with 16 inch cylinder, 4 foot stroke, parallel motion. Power increased to 12 horses, 19ΒΌ inch cylinder added 1806 . Iron cistern added May 1818.

For John Maud, chemist. "Elaboratory", 66 Aldersgate St., St. Botolph, London. The factory later became George Atkinson & Co.'s chemical works, and the engine worked there until 1884-1885. This engine is still extant in altered form at The Science Museum, London.
