Single-acting engine, with 31 inch cylinder, 7 foot stroke, chain connection.

For Barrow Lees & Co. Werneth Colliery, near Oldham. This was the second engine ordered by Barrow Lees & Co., as is referred to as No. 2 on the drawings, in Southern's List of Books, and in the Drawing Office Index. According to the List of Engines made at Soho it was sent in 1793, but was not actually erected until 1798.
