For the Bombay Mint. The 40 horse engine powered a new rolling mill - note that the drawings of boilers for a 40 horse engine in 1873 [see Portfolio 5/708a] may have been for this engine. These engines were omitted from the Catalogue of Old Engines. The Bombay Mint was expanded in 1860 and again in 1863.
