| Description | Bundle of seventy letters to James Watt.
There is a threaded bundle label with ‘Miscellaneous 1801,’ in black ink, and
‘ No 1 to 70 ’written in red ink.
The letters were numbered in red ink. They were arranged in neither chronological nor alphabetical order.
Old no. 67 had been removed for the Lunar Society Bicentenary exhibition in 1966,and not replaced in the bundle. It had been given the temporary number JWP C1/21 in 1994, when collected from Doldowlod.
The bundle has been re-arranged into alphabetical order by correspondent and chronological order within an individual’s correspondence.
