There is bundle wrapper with ‘Miscellaneous 1804,’ in black ink. To this, ‘No 1 to 53’ has been added in red ink.
The letters are numbered in red ink, except one which has not been numbered. There are in addition 4 unnumbered enclosures. The arrangement of letters was neither chronological nor alphabetical.
The bundle has therefore been re-arranged into alphabetical order by correspondent and chronological order within an individual’s correspondence.
