| Description | A bundle of twenty-three letters to James Watt, from James Morison, surveyor, and others. On the outside fold of the first letter is written in red ink ‘No. 1 to 23’ and ‘1769- 1776’ .
The letters were numbered in red ink. They were arranged in chronological order and this has been retained. The correspondent's name and the date had been written on the letter by James Watt, and sometimes a summary, which is given in italics.
