LevelItem
Date12 December 1778
Description[Successes in Cornwall. He has just finished the Chacewater engine which should make £700 per annum. It took three months pumping, ‘ forking or unwatering the mine’. Agreements have now been made for several other engines and they have an engine in hand for France, but nowhere will pay as well as Cornwall. The weather is too wet and stormy for his health, but mild. He has not been able to get many specimens of fossils but will try to. A list of those wanted would be useful]. (Partners no. 36)
