Josiah Wedgwood was born in 1730 & d. in 1815.

' No 1 to 45 ' has been added by another hand, in red ink.
The letters are numbered in red ink.
Four letters had been removed for the Lunar Society Exhibition in 1966, but not returned to the bundle. These were numbered JWP C 1/8, C 1/10, C 1/11, C 1/12 when collected in 1994. They have now been replaced in this bundle.
The letters were arranged in approximate chronological order with the most recent letter first.
They have now been arranged in chronological order beginbning with the earliest letter, and renumbered.
