On the first page is: ' Journal Book. James Watt of Glasgow. Nov. 27th. 1771.'
[The journal includes some sketches and on 12 january 1772, Watt 'invented a new protractor'. In May 1772, Watt converses with Samuel Garbett about canals and coal in the West midlands. On the inner back cover is 'part of Luther's will.']
