30 June 1808: Have not been able to get through his answer yet but observe he has been in advance for me. Approve of his regulations resp[ectin]g tenants paying rents. Hanter lime rocks. Newcastle manor given up. Future purchases to be confined to adjoining land. Tydabean not very desirable. McDowdell to look over apple trees. Account of timber to be taken. Poplar boards D[itt]o. Whatever is done in building at Doldowlod to be by contract.
07 July 1808: Propose to set out for Wales in a week.
10 July 1808: Have not given Mr Davies instructions about Clyn glyb tenants as shall see him soon. Mem[orandu]m of price of timber etc. not explicit. Price of scantling here.
13 July 1808: Am to be at Kington on Sunday evening.
