DescriptionBundle of 105 letters and papers, mostly from James Davies and James Crummer to James Watt, 1807-1808, and copy press letters from Watt to Crummer, and other papers relevant to the Welsh and Wyeside estates.
These were originally enclosed in a portfolio of cloth, card and marbled paper, labelled on the spine: 'Welsh 1807 - 08' and on the front, 'Welsh 1807 - 08'.
The papers were arranged in chronological order and this has been retained. They were not numbered. On some of the letters, James Watt jr. has expanded the information given by his father on the docket.
