12 March 1809. To James Weston (----): Concerning lease of Morris's farm.
12 March 1809. To James Crummer (----): Morris's farm, to meet Mr Ross upon taking it.
25 March 1809. To push on Badland repairs, slating, then draining old orchard ?turn.
Planting at Wyeside. Spruce & Scots fir in No. 7 Tynylone . Poplars. Situations to be looked out for.
03 April 1809. To James Watt jr. (Howey): Evans to be got quit of. Larches broken of[f] to be trained to one shoot. Doldowlod bridge slope. Fence on upper side of road ?turn. Larches were taken up last y[ea]r sh[oul]d not have been moved this y[ea]r. Had offered some larches to Mr Crummer but had given no directions to sell any. Have a bad opinion of McDowdel. Gardiner proposed. Approve of his letting Cencoed.
05 April 1809. To James Watt jr. (----). Have to be the same as Beaumonts. Water of Cencoed brooks to be led over the land. Approve of his discharging McDowdel &c. &c.
