04 January 1811. To James Crummer (——): My reply to J. Cheese's letter with plan of common. Request he will get Mr Ross to attend to Burnthouse exchanges. Request his opinion on my allotments & ab[ou]t roads through them. Planting. To credit himself for £100 for making sundry purchases for me.
15 January 1811. To James Crummer (——): Think Parry should be dismissed. If that is done will accept T. Evans under a lease for a year to be continued if pleases. Think Berdsmore cannot do well. Wish to know who proposes for Doldowlod reservations there if let. Have rec[eive]d Mr Newton's butter. Have no wish to part with G. Evans.
27 January 1811. To James Crummer (——): Have sent off 10,000 quicks with directions to G. Evans ab[ou]t planting them. Stonehouse larches to be thinned.
