18 October 1812: My son came home. Radnor election. Will be at home some time.
25 October 1812: Am shocked at the death of C. Blaxland. Can give no directions till I have the state of his account which I desire to have. I only object to Powel as tenant foer his idleness. Am sorry to be disappointed in Mr C's visit.
11 November 1812: Sorry that [I] am not informed whether Blaxland['s executors wish to] carry on the farm. Beg for a speedy determination. Shall be glad to receive his acc[oun]t.
