18 November 1812: To S. Blaxland: Am sorry for his B[rother]'s death. Am glad he proposes taking charge of the affairs. Caution him ag[ains]t engaging Mrs B[laxland] in the farm without some certainty of success. Can come to no decision on my part til[l] I see the accounts which I desire him to settle with Mr C[rummer]. 19 November 1812: To James Crummer: Inform him what I have written to Blaxl[an]d. Request acc[oun]t of what has been laid out. 23 November 1812: To James Crummer: Think Mrs B[laxland] cannot manage the farms properly. Want to know what lasting imp[rovemen]t Mr B[laxland] had made. Who is the new tenant on Hergest? Mrs W[att] declines chusing [sic] shawl for Mrs C[rummer]. 26 November 1812: To James Crummer: About Butter. 02 December 1812: To James Crummer: Can say nothing ab[ou]t Stonehouse affairs till I see accounts. Mrs W[att] has purchased French shawl & written for another. |
