16 August 1814. Announces our coming to Wales for a short time. Shall bring plan & estimate of of new barn at Badland. If Mr Kirkland will not undertake the barn at the estimate, some body else to be got to do it.
19 October 1814. Our arrival at home from our Tenby jaunt. Am willing to purchase Badland Manor if can be had reasonable.
13 November 1814. Have got part[icula]rs of L[or]d Oxford's Estates on sale. The only part I wish for is Badland Manor. Rent or value too high, but would give £500 for the purchase. But rat6her than fail, may give £600 & beg of him to attend the sale at Hereford. Desire him to also to bid at Commissioner[s'] sale [of allotments] for No. 5,6,7 & 8 of Kinnerton Com[missione]r[s'], but if Mr Stephens wants No. 8, not to contend it. |
