DescriptionReflections on Mr Boulton’s death. Has sent a kit of Salmon. Wishes Mr B[oulton] & myself to become Ex[ecuto]rs to his will. [Crops and weather]. 'I was very sorry to see in the Newspaper an Acc[oun]t of the death of my good old Master [Matthew Boulton], whom I shall ever remember with gratitude & affection; I believe few have ever been more universally & justly lamented, & he has what most people would wish to have, the regret & sorrow for his loss, of every Person of worth, who had the happiness to know him & of many who only heard of him.'
