| Description | Copy of letter to Lord Brougham. Aston. 27 Oct[ober] 1834. Have agreed with Mr Chantrey to leave out the literary titles in the Inscription and propose other alternatives. State that in preparing materials for Mr Arago's Eloge, I had gone into my father's claims to the discovery of the decomposition of water. Propose to send the proofs for his perusal. Consult whether any allusion should be made to this subject in the Inscription. Have also put into Chantrey's hands the memorials of Dr Black & Dr Robison to shew him. |
