| Description | The drawings were originally stored in a large card and leather portfolio, on which is written 'Old prints and drawings'. When the drawings were repackaged by the Conservation team, they were divided into seven folders, and are listed here in that order.
Folder 1: Original portfolio.
Folder 2: Portrait drawing of James Watt, in charcoal and white chalk. nd. Possibly by Gregory Watt.
Another possible artist is the portrait sculptor Catherine Andras (1775-1860) for whom Watt sat in London in 1810. She specialised in wax profiles.
Folder 3: Ink drawings of flower designs etc. possibly for embroidery. nd. (34 items)
Four of the drawings have a heading: 'Apron. Miss McGregor '; 'Apron. Mrs Stevenson'; 'Gown '; 'Sprigs London'.
