Description'The Daily Journal: or Gentleman's, Merchant's, and Tradesman's, Complete Annual Accompt-Book' (The diary is a printed edition and contains dated personal entries and accounts. Included in the diary is a 26 page Almanac. 'Vox Stellarum: or a loyal Almanack for the year of human redemption 1805.' This consists of charts and tables including; 'The Full, Changes, and Quarters of the Moon; The Rising, Southing, and setting of the Seven Stars, and other fixed stars of note; the Moon's Age and a Tide Table fitted to the same.' The Almanac is printed in red as well as black ink. At the beginning and end of the diary there are pages of notes such as; 'John Phillp to receive of Mr Brown the salary coming to him on account of MB. But in case the Mint ceases to work and the whole of J. Phillp's time is occupied in the plated concerns then he is to receive from the Plated Co. the amount of the Mint salary in addition to that paid by the Plated Co.')
