| Description | (This Item is a hardback notebook with a brown suede cover. On the front cover and the spine there is the year '1778' written in black ink. On the inside cover there are lists of names and addresses. The notebook is made up largely of calculations and notes on various engines including hand drawn tables and charts. Within the notebook there is a personal entry dated 'Feb 15 - 1779.' It describes problems to do with the use of an engine and refers to a Mr Rothwell and a Harry Burt 'of the engine house'. Also within the notebook there is a hand drawn map headed; 'Chacewater Loads.' Towards the end of the volume is a small drawing stuck down with wax, it shows the profile of a man, possibly Boulton?.
