LevelItem
Date17 March 1791
DescriptionI thank you kindly, my dear Friend, for yours per Mr. Collins, which I did not receive untill I had been an hour with Lord Hawkesbury, who is much mortified about coinage.
I don't think I shall leave London before Thursday, and therefore if you send me any pieces to your own satisfaction to be here on Tuesday I will beg to see Lord Hawkesbury again.
The impression of G R is not come up.
There is a bur or roughness on the outside edge of the plain protecting thread.
I left my card at the Marquis of Stafford's on Monday, and a letter of thanks for his attention to our friend Carles for soliciting the continuance of it.
I am now going to take the memorial to his Lordship and another letter entreating him to deliver it to Mr. Pitt.
God bless you and protect you. I am ever yours, and shall gratefully be whilst I am
Sam. Garbett
F. Garbett joins me in love to you all.
