| Description | Sir, I had the pleasure of writing to you the 31st ultimo. Agreeable to your desire, inclosed is a catalogue of all the ormoulu pieces that are finish'd. There are several more pieces in hand ungilt, which will be compleated as speedily as convenient. I mention'd that there were about £700 worth of vases, which was a crude estimate of what were in the Toy Room and a few pieces up stairs; but on collecting all together and taking an exact inventory, you'll perceive they amount to £1300 and upwards, which is a sum that far exceeded my ideas or Mr. F. E. Please to observe that they are all priced at the retail prices. Mr. Dyott has transmitted us an account of the stock lying in his house, which amounts to £400 and upwards; a good part is fine hilts and chains. Such as are not saleable we think had better be returned. I have the honor to be with sincere respect, sir, your much obliged and most obedient humble servant, John Hodges
