William Matthews died in 1792, and the file contains no correspondence with him; the old title is therefore misleading, and it has now been altered. Under Matthew Robinson Boulton’s arrangement the portfolio was placed in Box K. II ("Special Correspondents—Partners and Agents"). Unfortunately, the portfolio appears to have been discarded.
57 is undated, but has been kept in the same place in the sequence, in which it was formerly listed. |
