| Description | London Octo. 10. 1800 Dear Sir Not having received a line from you since I last wrote I have nothing to reply to; but now write to say that your daughter travel'd to Horsham on Wednesday Evening & thought herself better for her Journey-she intended to rest at Epsom last night & come to Mr. Dumergue's to day and she will write to you soon-I was only to desire you wou'd not be uneasy about her as she really felt better.-She has obtain'd a promise I believe from the Fothergills that they will visit Soho-but Mary says she is sure she shall not be able for a Month-Mrs. Vere & myself will be very happy to accompany them-and our Excursion to you must now depend upon them-I have not seen them yet but hope to do so some day next Week-as my Mother will be buried on Monday next-it was a most happy release for her as she had suffer'd greatly for several Weeks. Adieu! my dear Sir believe me most Affectly. Yours C Matthews |
