| Description | (On the same sheet is a memorandum by Zaccheus Walker.) [I suppose Joshua Hibben, whom I have seen on Panchaud’s business, to be the same person who, under the sanction of Quakerism, obtained credit from you. I asked him if he formerly lived at Lambeth: he said he did and had a brother living there now: I enclose his Draft for balance of Panchaud’s transaction: by comparing his signature with that of any letters you may have of his, you will clear up the point. That being done I would advise your writing a civil letter and drawing on him the balance payable to J. M. & Co., and so, if possible, recovering this doubtful debt of yours. Z.W. notes that there are no letters and J. H. probably called at Soho. Recommends applying to Messrs. Nash Eddowes & Martin, Gracechurch Street, London, Hibben’s assignees.] |
