Description[I fear Panchaud cannot have done much for his family, though I fancy by the coutume de Paris his wife’s fortune (about 3 or £4000) will be secured. The creditors are expected to fare badly. I among the number for about 12 or £1300. I should be much puzzled to give an opinion about the french troubles: time will be required to put affairs on a quiet footing and their finances are known to be in a bad state.]
